About Us
We are a small business based on the Fleurieu Peninsula of South Australia, on Kaurna Country, and we’re dedicated to fostering a deeper connection between people and the natural world.
We specialise in hosting engaging workshops, informative presentations, incursions and exciting events focused on native plants, habitat gardens, and nature connection.
Our mission is simple: to inspire and educate people of all ages about the beauty of native flora and the importance of nurturing native habitats.
“In the end we will conserve only what we love, we will love only what we understand, and we will understand only what we are taught.”
-Baba Dioum
Meet the Team
Hannah Jones
Wattle + Wonder was founded in 2021 by Hannah Jones who was driven by her deep love for native plants and her desire to share their beauty and importance with her local community. With a background in conservation, environmental management, horticulture, permaculture, and landscape design, she brings over twelve years of experience working with plants and people. Hannah lives in Aldinga Beach, on Kaurna Country, with her partner and their two young adventurous children.
“I am just so passionate about getting people to fall in love with the bush and notice all of its tiny wonders. Caring for our local environment is important for all living things; we need nature as much as nature needs us.”
We acknowledge and pay respect to the Kaurna people, the traditional custodians whose ancestral lands we live on. We acknowledge the deep feelings of attachment and relationship of the Kaurna people to Country and we respect and value their past, present and ongoing connection to their land and cultural beliefs. Always was, always will be.
